Greetings from Las Vegas, where CES 2024 has been one of the best ever. So much to see and do! So far, my favorite thing is still Samsung’s Transparent MicroLED monitor. I’ll do a full CES round up this Sunday, but today is all about a very important non-CES announcement from OpenAI. The company has unveiled the GPT Store, a platform for sharing and monetizing custom AI models, alongside a new subscription tier designed for teams.
The GPT Store allows developers to distribute and profit from their unique adaptations of ChatGPT. This initiative is set to stimulate innovation by enabling a broader range of tailored AI solutions, catering to specific needs and industries.
The new subscription tier targets small businesses, offering access to GPT-4 with a 32,000-token context window and higher message caps. ChatGPT Plus or Enterprise users can join for $30/month (billed monthly) or $25/monthly (billed annually). Like the Enterprise version, OpenAI says it won’t train its models on ChatGPT Team subscriber data. I’m in. The larger context window is clutch!
