Adobe Puts the “Art” in Artificial Intelligence

Adobe has launched Firefly for Enterprise, a platform that enables users to generate images or copy from text-based descriptions. Accessible via either the standalone Firefly application, Adobe’s Creative Cloud, or Adobe Express, the AI model can be trained with branded company assets to maintain brand consistency in content generation.

“Enterprise leaders expect content demands will increase by five-fold over the next two years, making it imperative for them to drive efficiencies internally,” said David Wadhwani, president of digital media business at Adobe. He added that Adobe’s Firefly is positioned to meet this need, offering users of all skill levels the ability to create content instantly and modify assets quickly.

Firefly – trained on Adobe Stock images, openly licensed content, and public domain content – is safe for commercial use. Since its beta launch in March 2023, users have generated more than 200 million images, with 150 million images created in just two weeks using Photoshop’s Firefly-powered Generative Fill feature.
