Twitter bans posting pictures of ‘private individuals’ without consent

Twitter announced its new policy regarding posting images or videos of private individuals without their consent. Under their “existing policy, publishing other people’s private information, such as phone numbers, addresses, and IDs, is already not allowed on Twitter. This includes threatening to expose private information or incentivizing others to do so.” This new policy expands Twitter’s ability to remove content. Interestingly, they’ve identified several use cases where they would not take down objectionable content; you can read Twitter’s blog post here.
