A proposed agreement between Apple and a class-action lawsuit representing U.S. app developers includes a $100 million payout from Apple. The settlement agreement includes the right for developers to contact their users directly via email and offer payment options outside of the App Store. This is a nice win for small devs. But don’t worry: your Apple share price won’t be impacted by the settlement. Small devs will still have to pay hefty fees to sell their wares inside Apple’s ecosystem. This settlement just makes Apple’s terms and conditions a little less painful for small dev shops.
