If you follow me on Twitter, you’ve probably seen me ask you to follow my boards on Pinterest. Since Pinterest just recently opened up their site so that anyone can join, you might be wondering, “What exactly is Pinterest?” Great question! Think of Pinterest as a digital pinboard, where you can “pin” pictures or videos to different boards that you create, name and categorize. Love Batman? Make a board called “The Dark Knight” and pin whatever your heart desires. Just like Twitter, you can follow other people and they can follow you, which builds a great sharing community. Love your friend’s pin? Like it, comment on it and then re-pin it to one of your boards! What’s really cool about Pinterest is that they even offer browser plug-ins that let you pin things from anywhere online, so if you’re on ShellyPalmer.com and see a great story, click the “Pin It” bookmark and it gets added to your board!
