Next week we can put the iPad 3 rumors to rest. Apple sent out its press invite for a March 7th event that will almost certainly show off the long-awaited device. What’s new with the iPad 3? Doesn’t matter—people will still show up in droves to buy it. In other news, federal prosecutors shut down gambling website Bodog.com, seizing its domain name and indicting its founder. The site is being accused of conspiracy, money laundering and operating an illegal sports betting business. The government’s current answer to online gambling regulation is to shut it down completely. And finally, you can’t read tweets that are over a month old, unless you’re a marketer. Twitter partnered with market research company Datasift to sell access to tweets as far back as January 2010. Remember, there’s no such thing as a free online service.
