The Obama administration came out in opposition to current anti-piracy legislation. The White House is the most recent critic of the Stop Online Piracy Act, vowing to not support legislation that encourages unjustified litigation or restricts the freedoms of expression afforded by the Internet.  In other news, online streaming video service Hulu is working on its first scripted television show to premier next month. Hulu licenses all if its content from other providers and the political drama “Battleground” will be its first foray into original TV programming. Hulu’s original shows will be available using its free web service. And finally, Google and Facebook are in a battle with India over who is responsible for censoring the country’s Internet. India is attempting to the hold the companies legally responsible for not blocking certain content; specifically material that criticizes religious and political figures.
