From Contact Tracing to Vaccine Verification

There are any number of contact tracing apps available. The tech sector was quick to partner with governments to help rein in the pandemic. As you know, there are very few success stories. Adoption has been sparse, and without wide adoption, contact tracing just doesn’t work.

Now we’re looking at a new challenge. Who has had the vaccine? Did they get their second dose (where needed)? Is it time for a vaccine passport app?

Some people think so, and there are several apps in the works. Without a law (and even with one), I don’t think a vaccine passport program will work any better than the failed contact tracing apps. What do you think?
