Xbox One Sells Out At Best Buy

Today is the day that diehard gamers have been looking forward to all year — it’s Xbox One launch day. Launching in 15 markets for $499.99 (USD), Microsoft’s first new console since 2005 is launching with 22 titles for you to choose from. This day has been a long time coming, and Best Buy is ready for it.

I chatted with Best Buy’s VP of Entertainment, Chris Koller, all about the big day. He’s super excited about the Xbox One’s commitment to being an entertainment console.

“It’s all about the games to start,” said Koller, “but you can also do great things with the console around movies, music and Skype. It’s a real full entertainment system, and we’re excited about it.”

If you haven’t gotten your hands on an Xbox One yet, good luck finding one. I asked Chris how many units they were going to sell. His answer was simple: “All of them.” And to make sure you got everything you need, Best Buy handed out a checklist while waiting for the newest console. Take a look:
