Apple released iOS 6.0.1 today, and you should go get it. It’s a minor upgrade to iOS 6–the operating system that shipped with the iPhone 5 and that more than 100 million people have subsequently upgraded their iPads and iPhones devices to run. It has a lot of little fixes, but the one at the top of the list is a doozy. It turns out, the iPhone 5 shipped without the ability to update its software over the air. Yes, to maintain the OTA functionality that has freed you from cables and maybe even iTunes, you’re going to have to plug your iPhone 5 into your computer and go through iTunes.
