Online shoe retailer Zappos was hacked and an upwards of 24 million customer records were compromised. All customer passwords have been reset, so if you’ve ever bought something at zappos.com, make sure to change your password. Credit card and payment data was not stolen, but make sure to monitor your accounts. In other news, Israel was the victim of yet another cyber attack that crippled the country’s websites for the stock exchange and national airline. Israel is in the middle of a cyber war, fighting off multiple attacks from a group of hackers claiming to be based in Saudi Arabia. And finally, Wikipedia announced that it would take part in a protest against the Stop Online Piracy Act and shut down for one day. On Wednesday, Wikipedia will go black, joining popular websites including Reddit and Boing Boing.
