Facebook recently announced a partnership with Skype that lets you make video calls from within Facebook. Facebook users can now also group chat without setting up an actual group. Video calls only require installing a small Skype app, which can be accessed at the top of any open chat window. In other news, streaming music service, Spotify, announced that it is close to launching in the United States. Spotify allows users to stream a massive library of music on demand, including on mobile devices. Spotify’s recent $1 billion of financing and rumored partnership with Facebook, could push it to the top of available streaming services. And finally, a new report shows that spending on videogames is expected to exceed $74 billion in 2011 alone. Videogame releases are turning into blockbusters, with Activision’s Call of Duty: Black Ops making over $650 million in the first week of its release.
