Traveling back in time to change the course of history is officially an act of science fiction. New studies by Hong Kong physicists have proven Einstein’s claim that a single photon cannot travel faster than the speed of light. Previous observations of particles moving faster than the speed of light are nothing more than an optical illusion. In other news, in an effort to push its buyout of T-Mobile through legal challenges, AT&T has spent 58% more than last year on government lobbying during the second quarter. In that quarter, AT&T has spent $4.9 million trying to convince Congress and other government agencies that the deal doesn’t violate antitrust regulations. And finally, IBM recently announced that its researchers have developed a high-speed storage system capable of scanning 10 billion files in 43 minutes.  The technology uses solid-state storage devices that offer up to 100 times more performance than traditional drives.
