Nintendo held an event for its new handheld gaming system, the 3DS, announcing a price tag of $250. The device launches on March 27th with over 30 titles expected before June, including 3D versions of classic games. While the 3DS comes at a hefty price, it’s turning out to be much more than a gaming device. In other news, you can now pay for Starbucks with your smartphone! Available for the iPhone and Blackberry, app users can hold their phone in front of a scanner and pay for their goods without looking up. The app is in development for Android and pulls money from a pre-registered Starbucks gift card. And finally, Daniel Spitler and Andrew Auernheimer were arrested on charges of fraud and conspiracy. The hackers accessed AT&T’s servers after discovering a security loophole and proceeded to steal 114,000 email addresses of iPad users. The two 20-somethings were caught through their own website after bragging about the data heist.
