Father & Son Launch iPhone Into Outer Space
Luke Geissbuhler and his 7-year-old son used a weather balloon to launch an iPhone and HD camera into space. Their mission was to “film the blackness beyond our earth.” The balloon burst after 70 minutes and fell back to earth. Father and son used the iPhone’s GPS to find the devices once they’d landed, which contained over 100 minutes of video.

Afghan War Docs On WikiLeaks Not A Threat to U.S. Security
The 70,000 classified documents about the Afghanistan War that were posted on WikiLeaks, did not contain any sensitive information according to Defense Secretary Robert Gates. While the documents may not be a threat to U.S.’s national security, the information in the documents could endanger the lives of the Afghans named who helped the United States.

AT&T Discounts iPads For Businesses
AT&T will begin offering special pricing for the iPad to businesses. Both the iPad Wi-Fi and 3G models will be offered with discounted data plans. This special pricing may help the iPad gain more business customers before the BlackBerry tablet is released in 2011.

Teens Exchange 3,339 Texts A Month
A new Nielsen study says that on average, U.S. teens ages 13 to 17, exchange 3,339 text messages each month. That breaks down to sending or receiving 6 text messages every hour of the day. The second highest group was young adults 18 to 24 who exchanged 1,630 texts per month. Thank goodness for unlimited text messaging plans.
