Android Phones Coming to AT&T : MediaBytes with Shelly Palmer January 7, 2010

AT&T revealed at CES that it will begin selling Google Android based phones this Spring. The company is set to sell new Android models from HTC and Motorola, as well as Dell’s first mobile offering, which will also be powered by the Android operating system. The move is a first for AT&T, which currently doesn’t offer any Android phones, and comes as its exclusive deal with Apple is set to expire.

Sony unveiled new 3D technology that will be bundled inside new Blu-ray players. Sir Howard demonstrated the technology during a live Taylor Swift performance at Sony’s presentation. Sony will also be rolling out a new line of 3D ready Blu-ray players equipped with WiFi. Not only that but the Blu-ray players will be linked to Netflix streaming service and users will be able to use their iPhone or iPod Touch as a remote for the new console.

Another big announcement at CES was Samsung’s first foray into the eReader world. Unveiling both a 6″ and 10″ version, Samsung hopes its E6 and E101, which both feature Bluetooth and WiFi will compete in the burgeoning eReader market. Samsung is partnering with Google to bring content to the E6 and E101, which will retail for $399 and $699.
