. A “majority of the minority” must approve the deal.

BRIGHTCOVE will syndicate CBS NEWS content across blogs and websites. Syndicates will be allowed to insert clips from CBS Evening News with Katie Couric, The Early Show, and other CBS News programs onto their sites.

DISNEY launched a new social-networking site for pre-teens. The site is called “Disney Xtreme Digital.”

CLEAR CHANNEL is set to sell 362 stations. The company is selling assets as part of a plan to go private.

PANDORA, a popular Internet radio station, is cutting off service to international listeners. In an email to users, the station cited licensing issues, stating “…there is no global licensing organization to enable us to legitimately offer Pandora around the world.”

STEVE JOBS published another “open letter” on Apple.com. Titled “A Greener Apple,” the letter outlines Apple’s plans for environmentally-friendlier computers.

BARAK OBAMA‘s campaign aggressively took over a volunteer-led MySpace page, causing controversy and resulting in the deletion of the 160,000 “friends” the account had acquired.
