Nintendo Slashes 3DS Price After Poor Sales

Nintendo has been the champion of portable gaming devices since putting the Game Boy in the world’s hands. Its newest handheld endeavor the Nintendo 3DS hasn’t been nearly as popular, falling very short of sales expections and selling only 4.32 million units. Consequently, Nintendo is lowering the price of the 3DS to $169.99 starting August 12th. The raging popularity of portable devices with app stores that grant access to thousands of cheap and free games, may be taking a hit on the world’s largest videogame maker.
