Ethical Media and Virginia Tech

Virginia Tech
This past week, we collectively lived every parent’s worst nightmare.  As a father of three, I cannot think of anything more devastating than losing a child.  I’ve heard it said that no one ever truly dies until they are forgotten.  I believe that this is true.  If it is, those who died at Virginia Tech this week will live forever in the hearts and minds of those who loved them.

Do we, in the technology, media and entertainment business, have an obligation to do our best to maintain the dignity of the victims and their families?  Where is the line?  Who crossed it? Would you have published the killer’s message? Please send me an email with your thoughts or post a comment to the blog.
